Reflections
This series explores colors, their interrelationship, and their transformative effect on human emotions. Multiple thin layers of paint put on with a lot of thought illustrate calmness, and inspire us to spend a moment with ourselves. The color palette is inspired by the traditional shades used in Indian homespun textile, taking me back to some great memories growing up.

Passages
Walking along a sea shore, watching waves build up, crash, and build up all over again inspires people like few other natural phenomena. Feeling the water on your foot as series of waves come along awakens our senses, makes one feel alive, and also shows our fragility in the vastness of nature. This series tries to capture those emotions with shades of blue, white, and tan.
Ephemeral
"Of the transient there is no endurance, and of the eternal there is no cessation.” This quote from the Bhagavat Gita captures the essence of life: simultaneously fleeting and everlasting. As one form of life disappears, another takes over, the cycle of life continues. Singapore displays this splendid dichotomy. We see lush green trees engulfed in a plethora of ferns, moss and lichens nurturing themselves at the expense of the host, but also providing an incubation ground for the hosts’ offspring: the eternal cycle. They simultaneously add to the riot of colors and textures. Shades of greens and browns are interrupted by the splashes of red, purple, blue, and orange. Velvety smoothness accompanied by piercing raggedness. This microcosm of life has inspired this body of work as I capture this burst of color, of texture, of growth and decay - Separate, and together, all at the same time.
Summer and spring
This series evokes childhood memories of the most beautiful of seasons. These painting have multiple layers of vibrant colors, shapes, marks and lines searching for harmony, just like life. Joy, happiness, sadness, anger, excitement, thrill, all coming together to complete the picture.
